Are you looking for the best gluten-free options in Miami? You’re in the right place! Eating gluten-free has never been easier in Miami, and there is no shortage of options! This guide includes a list of all my favourite gluten-free restaurants, bars and bakeries across the city.

Disclaimer: Items labelled gluten-free do NOT mean they’re celiac/coeliac-safe. So always check with your server or manager at the establishment to ensure the food is safe for your needs.
Brickell & Downtown Miami
Downtown Miami and Brickell are home to some of the most well-known bars and restaurants in Miami. Locals and tourists visit the area to eat, drink, spend time shopping and enjoy the museums. I’ve only visited a small number of places but found delicious gluten-free options. Here’s my rundown.

Moxies is a casual bar/restaurant in Brickell. We stopped by to enjoy a happy hour cocktail and stayed for dinner. They don’t have a gluten-free menu, but the server was trained and knew exactly what I could eat. I went for their burger in a gluten-free bun with cheesy mashed potatoes. Unfortunately, their fries aren’t gluten-free as they share a fryer.

Casa Tua Cucina is a casual yet upscale Italian kitchen in Brickell City Center. The seating arrangement has an open concept, but it’s still a great location for dinner. They have gluten-free pizza options, but no pasta, unfortunately. However, it was one of the tastiest pizzas I’ve eaten in a long time!
Hard Rock Cafe has been at the Bayside location in Miami for years. Like many chain restaurants, they also have a dedicated gluten-free menu and take things seriously in the kitchen. We went in for cocktails and an appetizer, chicken wings, which were all great. They serve a range of food, and their burgers and fries are always a good option.

Negroni Brickell is an NYC-style cocktail bar in the heart of Brickell. It’s the perfect spot to people-watch while enjoying some light bites and a handcrafted cocktail. I tried the salmon nigiri from their happy hour menu and washed it down with a Latino Mule. They do offer more gluten-free options from their main menu too.
Gluten Free Breakfast in Brickell

Puroast Coffeehouse is a little gem in the heart of Brickell. This coffee shop serves amazing smooth coffee and gluten-free breakfast arepas with bacon, eggs, avocado and cheddar cheese. We ate here twice during our stay in the area, which is rare as I like to try out different places. Worth checking out.

Maman Brickell Bay is a cute cafe, bakery, and restaurant rolled into one. It’s heaven for gluten-free options, as they have an extensive menu featuring breakfast, lunch, and on-the-go treats. I stopped in for brunch and ordered the Papa’s breakfast bowl and a flat white coffee. Both were great, and I’d love to return.
Coconut Grove – Gluten Free in Miami

GreenStreet Cafe is a Miami staple and is situated on a corner spot in the heart of Coconut Grove. This European-style restaurant has been around for over 35 years, offering great food, atmosphere and celebrity sightings. Gluten-free pancakes and pasta dishes are highlighted on the menu. But they have quite a few more options, so it’s best to check with the server. I tried their bolognese pasta, and the flavours were amazing, highly recommend.
Design District – Gluten Free Miami

Nami Nori in the Design District is a 100% gluten-free Japanese restaurant serving up hand-rolled sushi in a casual yet refined setting. Order the tempura misto and some of their temaki sets to try a bit of each. I preferred the starter set, my husband the signature. I sat at their Temaki Bar and watched our rolls being made; it was a wonderful dining experience.
Wynwood – Gluten Free in Miami
The foodie scene in the Wynwood area is insane! From food trucks, rooftop bars, cafes and restaurants, there are so many gluten-free options to choose from. I’ve rounded up some of my favourites, but I’m sure there are more I’ve yet to discover.

The Taco Stand has some of the best tacos I’ve ever eaten. As soon as you walk through the door, you can see the handmade corn tortillas being made. The smell is so welcoming in this casual spot. I ordered the steak and chicken asado tacos, and they were so good. I crave these tacos often, don’t snooze on this authentic taqueria.

Cielito Artisan Pops isn’t your regular ice cream shop. These popsicles look like a work of art. I love that it’s a family-run business selling fruity, creamy, chocolate, vegan and sorbet creations. Each popsicle has an allergen key that’s easy to read, so you know what to order. It’ll be hard to pick which one you want to try.

Le Chick is a bar and restaurant with a great vibe. We stopped in to enjoy a handcrafted cocktail and shared an appetizer. There isn’t a gluten-free menu, but the servers were great at advising what to order. The décor and the chilled-out atmosphere make this a great restaurant to enjoy a nice dinner.

Manta is a casual Peruvian restaurant with authentic dishes. I ordered the ceviche with a pisco sour, and they were both amazing. The restaurant specialises in seafood but also has a range available. The menu highlights the allergens, which is always appreciated.
Bonus: Love Life Cafe – I’ve not visited here, but it’s a highly rated vegan restaurant with a range of gluten-free options. On my next visit to Wynwood, I’ll stop by and see how it is.
Bars in Wynwood

Miami Mojito Company doesn’t serve any food, only mojitos, but it’s such a fun bar that it has to be on the list. They have a range of flavoured mojitos, served with a sugar cane and red-striped straw. You can thank me later!

Astra was one of the first rooftop bars in Wynwood, and it has a great view of downtown Miami. I only enjoyed a handcrafted cocktail, but they do serve food. It’s worth checking beforehand if you’d like to eat there as it’s a great place to hang out.
Doral – Gluten Free in Miami

Shoma Bazaar in Doral is an upscale food market/hall with 15 vendors selling different foods from around the world. My recommendation for gluten-free food is Doggis Arepa Bar. They have several gluten-free arepas and empanada options that taste amazing. They cook Venezuelan recipes, which means they use corn flour and don’t cross-contaminate the fryers. Also, grab a cocktail from the bar, they’re really refreshing. This market is a fun group spot, but they also have various locations throughout Miami.

I also love Indian cuisine, and Bombay Darbar in Doral did not disappoint. Almost all of their curries are gluten-free, along with their rice. Just ask your server to double check with the kitchen.
Coral Gables – Gluten Free in Miami

No trip to Miami would be complete without a visit to Dora’s Gluten-Free Bakery. Dora’s is a 100% celiac-friendly bakery and restaurant in Coral Gables. They have a range of sweet and savoury items. I tried their chicken empanadas, ham croquetas and a vanilla cupcake. Each was so delicious, and I wish I’d picked up more. It’s a must-visit gluten-free bakery in Miami. I also recommend checking out Costazul, a Peruvian restaurant in the heart of Coral Gables. I tried the corvina ceviche with a Pisco sour and both were delicious.
South Beach – Gluten Free in Miami
I haven’t spent enough time in South Beach recently to recommend places to eat. But I’m looking forward to checking out places when I’m next in Miami. I did visit the La Picaña Grill food truck during an event on South Beach. Their arepas are incredible, the meat is cooked to perfection. They have various restaurants and food trucks across the city, so if you see one, it’s worth trying out!

Clevelander SoBe is a South Beach staple. I didn’t eat here but recommend stopping in for a cocktail. It has a great vibe, and it’s the perfect people-watching spot by the beach.
Miami Lakes – Gluten Free Options

Korner67 is a tapas style restaurant and bar in Miami Lakes with plenty of gluten-free options. Their handcrafted cocktails and sharing plates are a little pricey, but the food quality is there. Three of us shared the shrimp ceviche, octopus, beef carpaccio and filet mignon, all of these dishes are gluten-free and so good. I also tried a casual restaurant called Francisca where chicken and meats are grilled over charcoal. The plates are big, so I recommend sharing one and ordering different sides.

Top Tip: Check out Colombian Bakeries! I discovered a bread called Pandebono. These soft cheesy buns made with tapioca or yucca (cassava) flour, are the perfect delicious gluten-free breakfast. However, there is a risk of cross-contamination, so always check how they’re prepared first.
To sum things up, Miami has emerged as a gluten-free haven with its diverse range of restaurants and cafes. From trendy eateries to local favourites, there is no shortage of options for people looking for gluten-free meals all over the city. So, don’t hesitate to explore this vibrant place and indulge in all of its gluten-free goodness.

It can most definitely be tough! You won’t regret trying those tacos, the best 🙂
I don’t need any food! Mojitos only will be just fine! ;-P
Hahaha solid beverage choice!
good call on the Moxies fries. shared fryers are a total dealbreaker if you’re actually celiac.
